2024 Photo/Touring Contest: Murals

The theme of the 2024 WOW Region Touring/Photo Contest is “murals.” Dictionary.com defines a mural as a “large picture painted or affixed directly on a wall or ceiling.” Eligible photographs must include the rider, their motorcycle, or both at a mural in/on a building, mural wall, silo, grain bin, granary, or traffic/utility box. (Maximum two murals/2 points per city.)

Stephanie ventured into Kansas for this photo. Murals found in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Missouri count for the Annual Touring/Photo Contest.

The Lady Cruisers of the Ozarks Chapter visited this mural in Monett, Missouri.

Alecks Cruz painted this mural on the Department of Motor Vehicles building in June 2023, and is the City of Grandview, Missouri’s first commissioned mural.

Ram Leather Care’s mural in St. John, Missouri, is known as the “Arch and Animals” mural.

This Troy, Missouri mural which was recently repainted by the local high school’s art students, advertises Cheroots, a cigar cut square at both ends.

Heartland (St. Louis) Chapter members who live in Illinois can search for murals outside the region, like this one in Collinsville, Illinois, home to the world’s largest Catsup Bottle.
